This course is especially for those with little experience or lacking the confidence to have a go.  We will take you through from the basics of switching on the computer, using a mouse, the Windows environment, working with files, the internet, and sending and receiving emails, and an overview of Microsoft Office.

EMAILS

Learn all the basics you need to send and receive emails, including with photos and documents. Manage your address book and be organised.

A look at multimedia, cyber safety and social media and how it can help you at work or everyday life. (You must have basic computer skills to join these sessions)

Search & Download Software – Monday 26th February, 12.30am to 3.00pm  Find and download free software from anti-virus to photo editing programs (1 session)

Trello – Monday 5th March, 12.30am to 3.00pm Trello is a collaboration tool that organises your projects into boards. In one glance, Trello tells you what’s being worked on, who’s working on what, and where something is in a process (1 session)

Internet Providers – Monday 19th March, 12.30am to 3.00pm Come and learn how to organise internet connection. Unravel some of the confusing language and how to understand what the different providers are offering

Connecting with Online Services – Monday 26th March, 12.30am to 3.00pm 
Learn how to access services online such as MyGov and Working with Children’s Checks (1 session)

Nabo – Tuesday 27th March, 12.30am to 3.00pm Nabo is the social network for your suburb. From finding locally recommended tradies, events and nearby bargains, to creating a safer and friendlier neighbourhood. Nabo is the free social network helping you get the best out of your local area (1 session)

Ebay -  Monday 23rd April, 12.30am to 3.00pm
Want to buy and sell online, then this session is for you. Learn  how to get started and how to get help when you need it (1 session)

Photo Editing - Monday 30th April & 7th May, 12.30am to 3.00pm Learn useful techniques to make the most of your photos from red eye reduction, colour techniques, cropping and changing the image size (2 sessions)

 

OFFICE SKILLS

Need to refresh your skills in the office or are you swapping jobs and would like to learn the basics of working in an office environment. Join this class to get you started on:

  • Touch Typing
  • Understanding Front Desk requirements
  • Customer Service and answering phones
  • Organisational skills
  • Business Documents
  • Social Media in the office

This will also include the opportunity for work experience.

Time: 9.30am – 12.00pm
Days: Wednesdays
Duration : 2.5 hrs x 10 sessions (25hrs)

If you prefer to learn at your own pace or have a specific task that you want to learn we have an experienced trainer available.

During the day – $40.00 per hour
During the evening – $55.00 per hour

We can also tailor the training for your business in a wide range of Microsoft Office products and many online programs.

LEARN LOCAL FOR BUSINESS

Need to train or up-skill employees. We offer flexible training options and can work with staff to develop training to suit your needs.

Training can be delivered at our centre or if suitable on your site.

Our training is pre-accredited and government subsidised.
